Confessions of A New York City Kid |
19 years old, Living,Work, & Play in the beautiful city of New York. A proud resident of the Upper East Side. I go to school at The Fashion Institute of Technology for my second degree in Fashion Merchandise Management/Marketing. I love fashion and am working towards pursuing a career in design. Read my blog if you're bored or give a damn about what I have to say, or if you just wanna hear me whine about things that grind my gears.. |
I’m finally back home on The Upper East Side after my amazing trip to the city of angels. It was deff one needed vacation, a good time to blow off steam, think about changes in my life, soak up the sun, and see faces I love with all my heart. It was soo good to see all the friends I made in LA last year, and how well, or not so well, they were doing for themselves. Hot messes, will be hot messes! Now that I’m back home, and I traded in my sunglasses and swim trunks, for a peacoat and longjohns, I’m ready for this prosperous new year! Last year, allot happened, people changed, made new friends and lost a few, changed jobs, and cities! Now with my new job on the upper east side and the last semester of my sophmore year at FIT, I’m ready to take on the big city once again, one step at a time! Watch out!

If making more money is your primary goal now, you have the winds of fortune at your back. It’s time to get serious when it comes to making your dreams come true. Although you are often inclined to put the cart before the horse when dreaming your dreams, you are now feeling inspired to be more practical in the way you do things. If you proceed with a current plan for increased income in a way that is logical and steadfast, you will find that your financial picture begins to brighten immediately.
Are negative thoughts taking over your brain? Are images of what could go wrong dancing through your head? Are you spending too much time wondering what someone thinks of you or of your work? If so, you need something better to do. When you have free time on your hands, you need to do something constructive with it or your creative mind begins to seek out reasons to worry. You must change that pattern. When you have time to yourself, use it to empower your thoughts with positive affirmations and energized thinking. Use the time to increase your power, not zap it.
So I escaped the snow and the brutle cold weather in the city where they say dreams come true, to the sunny beaches of the City of Angels. Sooo overdue for some relaxation. Ready to kick back, shop, tan and throw back a few. See you in a week New York!

“You ask me about regret? Let me tell you a few things about regret. There is no end to it. You cannot find the beginning of the chain that brought us from there to here. Should you regret the whole chain, and the air in between, or each link separately, as if you could uncouple them? Do you regret the beginning which ended so badly, or just the ending itself?” - I regret nothing.
So i got offered this really cool job today.. but idk if i should take it?? Its more of a title, then a paycheck..but what matters more money or status? dont they go hand in hand? oh decisions decisions..
“You may be imagining a roadblock to your dreams where none exists. This could be coming from your own insecurities. You may not believe you are capable of achieving something, or you may even feel that you don’t deserve whatever you are currently pursuing. You have never given yourself enough credit. People may see you as the kind, giving, caring soul that you are, and it’s time that you looked at yourself that way too. Be as kind to yourself now as you are to others, and you’ll be able to see things more clearly.”
If you are inclined to form an opinion about someone new in your life, then you really need to look at that person’s intentions, rather than what they actually say or do. You could be dealing with someone who has a rather fanciful imagination, and didn’t go into a certain responsibility in a realistic way, and so the outcome was less than desirable. Instead of making a judgment prematurely based on a failed attempt to impress you or someone else, give a new person a chance and look more to the individual’s goals, hopes, and dreams - or you could miss out on a really great relationship.
Exchange or Store Credit only return policies!! I understand we all wanna make $ and all, but sometimes things just don’t work out, or we found something else that worked out. Like seriously WTF. I can understand it at places like Forever 21. The clothes there are soo cheap, how can you not use the “Kleenex Method” use once and throw out. I mean come on the shit there is like 5 bucks! I personally call it “Forever Trash!” If you work there, don’t get offended that I’m bashing it. Just cause you work there it don’t mean you’re cheap. Lmao. Getting back to my point, Why must they be so difficult! Or when sale is final sale! There is something called impilse buying, or if you are a shopaholic. Steer far far away from places like this, because if you go near them, You aint commin outta there a happy camper. For all you who like to tuck the tags in and then return the dress that you wore out that night to the hottest club or some tacky sweet 16, then you don’t deserve ya money back! Sorry suckas!! That’s just my thought. Enjoy Kids ;)
“If you think that you’ve got it bad, always remember that someone else has it worse. Think twice about it. “
